I want free university education for five years to worship my secular God. I want subsidized child welfare so too can five kids. Levy the ultra orthodox are parasites not the other. Stop being negative by default your critic is illogical and invalid.

Gideon Levy speaks the truth! You hate the minority and don't understand him (or want to)... You discriminate at your leisure! Internilize the message, you just don't want the Charedim learning... why won't they give money to expand "Nachal Charedi"??? There are those who want to join and there is no room! Would you hire a "black hat" and give him an equal chance, no way! Let go and understand the underlying problem!

So levi thinks it is marginal if one 18 year old puts his life in danger daily for his country and another studies in a yeshiva and goes home for lunch. Levi bemoans that these are the poorest of society also. Well duh! They do not go to work on principle so tough to make it to the middle class only on government handouts. Levi is so concerned for the Arab minority but does not view them as having any responsibility to serve even their own communities. Levy is patronizing and elitist to this citizenry. They should be equal in all things as citizens as of right and as of obligation. Without paternalistic leftist "protecting" their right to inferior "otherness". It is not hate but a desire for a fare and balanced social compact. This is a country with enormous threats and equally enormous achievements and all its citizens should partake in both. As to labor migrants, at least you admit these are not refugees but rather economically motivated migrants who should respectfully be returned to their homes of origin.

Tolerance for them would increase with their service in the army or national service. There are plenty of problems, imperfections in Israel. But you take one at a time and go through the list. You just can't knock them all of at once! What would America have been like if it did not integrate public (and private) schools, workplaces and universities? Do you think that it would have made the progress it did toward race being less of an issue? If the direction you want to head is a shared burden overall and a unified society, then you integrate. All your complaints are valid. As is this additional complaint, that a big group of Jews does not serve in Israel's army, nor do they integrate in other ways. That's the item on the list right now. Good luck on the other items too.
