However much Israelis and some diaspora Jews seek to divorce the occupation from other events in the ME, the rest of us should not be so willfully blind. Ending the occupation will not end all the conflicts that exist within the region nor will it stop Israel from having enemies, but it will remove a just causus belli (cause for war) from the Arab agenda and in my opinion do more to ensure Israel's future as a Jewish homeland. Those who disagree (and we know who they are) are small in number and for the greater good of the many should be stopped from blocking the drive for Palestinian statehood.
