In praise of Netanyahu

but in any operation like this one in Gaza, it's a tragedy that it led to a war instead of doing the maximum on the diplomatic sphere to achieve the same outcome. The Israeli government stated their goals were met, and Gaza thinks that they achieved their objectives of lifting some of the sanctions - but at what cost, over 130 dead and lots of destruction & yet they celebrated on the streets. Now an Israeli man from Ashkelon was interviewed by CNN and one of the last questions they asked him was " Do you think Hamas won ? " He hestitated a bit and I was hoping he'd say somewhat "yes" because that's what they want to hear that Israel capitulated and was weakened - which is not the case. Perhaps if they feel empowered now, and they managed to get Israel to back off, then they'll pursue the diplomatic or political channel because I think this Pillar of Defense operation was devastating for the people of Gaza and if Hamas thinks this is how to go abouts doing business in the future - they are mistaken. Israel did show strength in the end, a cease-fire was declared, missiles stopped and Israel did not pursue the incursion.

Assad's days are numbered and Hezbollah time is short! It is written.
