Death but no justice: The AMIA bombing, 20 years on
It was the bloodiest attack against the Jewish Diaspora since the Shoah, but no perpetrators have been brought to justice, thanks to an Argentinian cover-up that U.S. Jewish leaders failed to condemn.
Today, July 18th marks the 20th anniversary of the bombing of the AMIA Jewish Community Center in Buenos Aires, that left 85 dead and 300 injured. It was the largest attack against the Jewish community in the Diaspora since the Shoah. The Argentine government deserves to be excoriated for its gross and duplicitous mishandling of the investigation.
