Iran and after: Why Israel should embrace France as a partner
Israel should leverage the fact that it has found strong common ground with France over the Iranian nuclear program to build deeper strategic ties with Europe.
President François Hollande and his Foreign Minister, Laurent Fabius, have squarely placed France as champions of the ‘prove actions, soften sanctions’ approach to Iran’s nuclear program. They have pushed for a long-term solution without weakening the pressure that brought Iran to the table in the first place.
