The West Bank rail project: we've lost track of reality
After millions have been spilled on bypass roads for the settlers’ convenience, the government is now readying to lay a track for every settler.
It was recently reported that the Civil Administration had approved the transportation minister’s plan for a network of West Bank rail lines that would link Hebron with Jenin and Afula and connect Ramallah, Jerusalem and Tel Aviv. Looking at such a rail map gives us the feeling that we’ve taken the train back in time to Mandatory Palestine. These are not trains that are moving forward.
