Let's fantasize. Let's say that former Meretz leader Shulamit Aloni had been elected prime minister, and later lost her Knesset majority. Is it conceivable that the ultra-Orthodox Shas party would have saved her government on the off chance that she might turn Israel into a state based on Jewish law?
