It is not at all certain that Jacob Frenkel will be the next governor of the Bank of Israel. Not because of the committee headed by Judge Turkel. It will approve his appointment. Nor is it because of the argument that he has already served in the position twice before. The attorney general, Yehuda Weinstein, has already ruled that there is no legal impediment to his appointment.
