Israeli society loves to tarnish the minority, regardless of who's to blame
Surprisingly, it seems that blame for the hate crime that took place at Bar Noar cannot be collectively placed on any community. That's a disaster - because who will we tarnish now?
The arrest of murder suspects in the Bar Noar case has negated some assumptions and dispersed some collective accusations. It has also strengthened some basic assumptions about what happened that fateful August 2009 night at the gay youth club on Tel Aviv's Nahmani Street, as well as what happens within Israeli society each and every day and night.
