Two people were killed and 15 were injured when a massive explosion destroyed two buildings in Manhattan's East Harlem district on Wednesday, just after 9:30 a.m. Despite initial, instinctive fears of a terror attack when buildings explode and the Manhattan sky fills with smoke, indications were that a gas leak might be the cause.
