I have two questions: why is it that all the writing on the boxes is in english and not farsi? do hezbollah and lebanese people speak english as their 1st language? If the awnswer to both those questions are yes, then I am prepared to believe the israelis. It doesn't make sense to me to ship arms or any other commodity from one country to another and the language used on the goods is neither from the host country or the receiving country. 1 billion made of what? wheels, hummers, ammunition from the 70s and 80s. LAF : lebanese air force, what do they have? helicopters not even suitable for fire fighting? What is the air defense missile that was given to the Lebanese Army? How can the Lebanese people defend themselves from the Israeli daily aggression. The Iranian crew and a cargo of mostly anti-tank shells were seized near Midi an official told the AFP news agency. Iranian state television quoted "informed sources" denying the story. The Yemeni central government has not commented but officials have long accused the rebels of receiving Iranian support, a claim Tehran denies. Iranian state broadcaster al-Alam TV called the incident a "fabrication of the media". Last week Yemeni President Ali Abdullah Saleh alleged that captured rebels had confessed their funding came from Iranian dignitaries. But he said he did not accuse the Iranian regime itself.

FYI, the Lebanese Army is NOT allowed to be armed by the US and with pressure from Israel and the jewish Lobby in the US. The only equipment that is sent by the US is the rotten weapons. Just remember how the Lebanese Army had to fight the extremists in Nahr-el-bared in the north of Lebanon. They did not even have enough ammunition to last more than 10 days. Conclusion: the Lebanese people (including Hizbollah) are allowed to arm themselves as much as they find suitable to defend their country.

Read a decent history book not from Syria or the UAE. Their Maritime actions were legal. Israel did nothing more then inspect the ship, which they had the right to. On discovery of the weapons, they had the right to seize the ship in the name of self defense. What if it was Mexico that was getting ready to fire missles at LA, and the US Navy confiscated their arms ship. Would you still call it illegal actions?

What terrible wars did Israel wage in Lebanon. The northern border was the quietest border for many years until the PLO was thrown out of Jordan in 1979 and took up residence in Southern lebanon. Immediately the border area was under attack by terrorists. Mnay Isrealis, men,women and children were killed. We went in and destroyed them to defend oujrselves. In 2006 the border was again quiet for a long time. Herzbollah fired rockets at our towns, came across the border kidnapped and killed our soldiers. We went in again and now the border is quiet again. Its not Israeli aggression its Israeli self defence. Call it what you want but if the commandeering of these arms saves one Isreali life then its worth it. Those weapons are necessary to deter further Israeli aggression. Israel has waged terrible wars in southern Lebanon. Hezbollah turned the tide in 2006 and needs more weapons to halt Israeli aggression. Israel seizing these arms was certainly stealing, and probably an illegal maritime act.

Everything should be examined by IDF and if they are in working order, then put them to use. Give them to israeli's in the north and let them fire into Leb at will. 2 hours later let IDF go to the launch site and say we done see anyone so they must have fired themselves. Oh well.
