You guys (#1 and #2) are "nuts" Its a normal human reaction to get back and those who fu^&* you up. Any sane person would want the perpetrators of killing of innocents in the most brutal fashion to be knocked off. BTW if Israel did not have that desire we would not be able to exist. Maybe that's why jews in galut are so "shocked" at the movie. If you want to live free in your own land you need to get over your "shock". And maybe that's why jews were kicked in the azz in galut beacuse they cant bear the thought of pay back.
' Jewish film producer Lawrence Bender,[...]called the movie "every Jews' wet dream." ' Now, let's talk about where the Palestinians fit in all this, shall we?
I saw the movie at a theater near Monsey, NY, home to a large Haredi community, two of whom were in the audience. They had the same reaction as you (and I): disgust. The Holocaust was one of the greatest crimes of all human history. To reduce the memory of the victims to a blood-soaked revenge fantasy is to demean them and the Jewish people. One of the most notable aspects of Jewish history is that, despite a thousand years of persecution, their is no history of a culture of violent hatred and thurst for revenge, at least until recently. The movie's real point is that Israel is entitled to use whatever brutality it finds necessary against its modern-day enemies. Tarantino's real motive is to make a lot of money.
All part of the Christian myth that Jews are vengeful shylocks
