White House waves off suggestion that U.S. president was 'embarrassed' to be seen with Israeli PM.
By Natasha Mozgovaya Tags: Benjamin Netanyahu Barack Obama Israel newsThe White House has waved off suggestions that President Barak Obama was "embarrassed" to be photographed with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, amid questions over the minimal media coverage of their meeting in Washington this week.
"We were very comfortable with the coverage for last night's meeting," said White House spokesman Robert Gibbs.
But media-savvy critics have posted their own commentary on the matter, with video clips like this emerging on You Tube:
When asked in a press conference on Wednesday whether he saw "any contradiction at all when the Secretary of State goes before AIPAC and says that the U.S. has no stronger, no closer ally than Israel - and then the President won't even allow a photograph of him and the Israeli Prime Minister", Gibbs responded: "No, I don't see a contradiction at all."

So Obama is the man? A man who not only stomps on our US Constitution (like good leftists do, aka Hugo Chavez) but he also has the chutzpah to trash our allies and kissing up to the enemies of freedom. Obama is just a rebel teenager trapped in a mans body. Netanyahu did not deserve to be dissed by the arrogant, leftist anti-semite Obama. Oh yeh.. he will be jacking away more of your dollars en masse US taxpayer--but you deserve it to have voted for this fraud!
Get your hands out of our pockets and go home Bibi we don't want you, we hate you and everything you stand for.
to be photgraphed with Obama. Do you think it makes him more popular in Israel. He is already climbing in the polls and Obama is way way down.
Obama only takes pictures with Terrorists, that is why he wouldn't take any pictures with Bibi..... What a shame
Stand tall Mr. Netanyahoo
Many of the stupid talkback comments show the HIGH level of deception & ignoracnce of the writters. No wonder the world IS in the SCREWED-UP MESS IT IS ! The blind are leading the blind & both will fall into the ditch, it is written. Actually some of the blind people see more, than those with two eyes that claim to see. BiBi .. You are the REAL WINNER .. STAY FIRM with God of Israel HE WILL GUIDE & PROTECT ISRAEL With MUCH LOVE O ISRAEL
I think Obama is making a huge mistake in allowing his on personal disdain for Bibi to flout political decorum. What Obama is doing this to simply appease the Muslim world to gain better relations at the expense of Israel. Well Mr. Obama your actions only gain more suspicion amongst Israelis and Jews like myself who live here. Treating Bibi like a third world despot is despicable and surely not the way you treat friends. I guess all those years hanging out with Reverand Wright and Farrakhan and listening to their vile rants against Jews has not rubbed off on Obama.
Belive me 87% of Americans do not want their picture taken with Obama either. Good for him to show up put it on the table and leave Do not trust this President in America We do not nor will we.He is turning us into a doscile Country We do not want him or his politics we want him out! Obama is not my president nor will he ever be. Cheers to Netanyau to show the world that America is nobodys friend.
Bibi was called in to get his bottom chewed. It would only be embarrassing to document his red face and his sore behind.
The message of The United States is Clear! Bibi, We Don't Trust You! Obama is The Man!
Stand tall Mr. Netanyahoo. Many Americans see Israel as a good ally. Just do what you have to do, and don't worry about what the rest of the world has to say.
The Arabs already got the message. The Saudi King could not have missed it.
