Vandals scrawl swastikas on walls of Haifa kindergarten
Several buildings in Haifa targeted, including wall adjacent to coffee shop; police searching for culprits.
By Haaretz Service Tags: HaifaVandals daubed the walls of several Haifa buildings with swastikas late Thursday night, Army Radio reported. The vandals targeted, among other places, a kindergarten and a wall adjacent to a coffee shop.
Anti-Semitic symbols and slogans were also scribbled in magic marker on several cars and mailboxes.
The police have launched an investigation into the incident and are searching for the culprits.
Detectives with the Haifa police arrested a 19-year-old resident of the Mahane David neighborhood in Haifa last month on suspicion that he set fire to a sukkah built next to a Haifa synagogue and drew a large swastika nearby.
The man is also suspected of assaulting women in the neighborhood as well as other incidents of vandalism.
Police are investigating whether the arson was the latest in a series of anti-Semitic incidents committed by neo-Nazis in Haifa, or whether it was simply a prank.

I believe in demonstrations of resistance and even can justify political graphitti but using the swastikas in any anti-semitic way is unforgivable and must be made an example of in Israel and elsewhere. We have seen that it all starts with some scribbling and some slogans and it ends with attacks and than ethnic cleansing of the Jews. Anyone caught doing this in Israel should be tried with treason and deported with stripped nationality (if Israeli). No room for this!

Just a few kids having a bit of fun. They will soon grow out of it. I would be upset if they started drawing Star of David with the word Jude under it, in yellow Now that would be more offensive than a hindu symbol representing love. Although I did say that the fundamentalist jews who grossly misrepresented the symbols of Naziism in Gaza when they were ordered out under international law. Would cheapen their meaning and render them meaningless. As for revocation of citizenship blah blah blah. Grow up if you is Israeli you is Israeli.
i wonder if someone has ever made a survey in Israel where kids and young adults are asked about their knowledge of the holocaust, the origins of the state of israel etc. i doubt that you will get good numbers. kids know that swastikas make adults jump up and down and that's all they care about.
Since when is the Star of David being painted on Palestinian homes? And how is that even comparable? I don't remember magen Davide being the symbol of mass genocide recently.

What punishment should be handed out to illegal settlers who mark the Star of David on the houses of Palestinians?
If the culprits are immigrants their citizenship should be cancelled.They should be jailed and deported.If this is impossible because the culprits were born here the jail sentences should be lengthy.Is enough effort being taken to find these people ?

So the police are investigating whether the Swastika on the kindergarten wall is "simply a prank". Well, the prankster must be punished big time. No need for psychologists and other do gooders to analyze if he had proper toilet training or whether his parents loved him Enough already. Lock this garbage up for life without parole. This way they can do no more harm. And forget about freedom of speech. It has no standing in this affair.
