UN body urges Israel to allow nuclear inspection

I agree on boycotting & sanctioning. Reason the US Govt won't acknowledge Israel's nuclear weapons is because there is a US Law that prohibits our govt in providing foreign aid to countries who possess nuclear weapons and are not members of the NPT. The only way is when the President of the country waivers it. Since 1948 Israel has received US taxdollars in excess of 104 trillion dollars. Additionally, in grant form they receive $1400.00 for each individual annually. This is money that could well be used in America.

Israel should be forced to show ALL their Nukes...Just like IRAN has to..PERIOD! oh...and they Might actually Find Nukes in IRAN as Soon as Russia Gives them...hm...lets see...300 would be a fine number...slighly more than Israel.

Israel doesn't threat to use the nukes nor to wipe off another country,is not member of IAEA controlled by innefective Arab lapdog and can manage her internal affairs herself without external intervention. Israel is a sovereign country and doesn't need to be told what to do and how to behave especialy when it comes from corrupt UN that have lost its legitimacy a long time ago. Is it the same UN that hold a minute of silence for Palestinian suicide bombers and presented map of Palestine without Israel? Is is the same UN that is witholding details of Iran's nuclear program and is hiding evidence on Iran nuclear program? Is is the same UN that helped Herzbollah to rearm? And you want Israel to show her nuclear facilities to the same body Labhras? You must be kidding sir. You should present your arguments why Israel should see the UN as a serious and impartial organization. Can you do it?

Sir, I think that the Reuters report is not quite correct when saying that the Arab states won approval of a resolution urging Israel to join the NPT, there is more to it when 49 states joined the proposal incl. two states that are permanent members of the Security Council. It is also wrong to say that Israel will not cooperate with the NPT because many of its neighbors are hostile to it; if the state of Israel would not occupy the West Bank, isolate Gaza in economic terms, would not occupy parts of Syria for 40 years, i.e. for almost two generations then there would not be hostilities, but peace like with Egypt and Jordan.

Those of you taking Iran's side in this and apologizing for Iran should note that the President of Iran said today again the Holocaust was a made up myth. Why would any Jewish person ever take the side of Iran and believe that they are any kind of good actor "cooperating" with the nuke inspectors. I just don't get it. Must be Stockholm Syndrome siding with those who regularly dis your very existence.

Present your arguments why it is not about time.

There is a long tradition on Israel ignoring UN resolutions and requests. International back-up of Israel will be stronger if international law is accepted. This is even more true, imn my opinion, within the EU countries.

"Israel is widely assumed to have the Middle East's only nuclear arsenal" The next assumption/fantasy might be , that Israel has outsourced its nuclear program to Iran, because nuclear weapons are too dangerous on your own soil. remember: Who will guard the guards?

We all know Israel has nukes and the fact that they refuse to tell the truth is an advantage to the Arab world. It shows the rest and West that they are right not to trust Israel. If it can lie on nukes, it can lie about anything. Keep up the charade - its good for Palestinian propaganda!

Israel is the nation of hypocrites that must be condemned by the world instead of snivelling cowards like Canada propping you up. Whine, whinge, nag and carp about Iran but sell nuclear material to Pakistan via South Africa, have nukes but not let any inspection while locking up the man who blew the whistle. The world is surronded by evil,this does not make it okay for Israel to have nukes. He What they are saying, we will not use our nukes on anyone, we them for a deterent only.Meanwhile Iran is more likely to attack. In as much as Israel has failed to heed so many UN resolutions, defied Geneva Conventions (4), illegally occupied and settled others' lands, it is time for Israel to withdraw its membership in the UN! Inspections are unnecessary. In other words, don't start up and you shan't have any problem with Israel.

Israel and the world is constantly pushing Iran and N. Korea for Nuclear inspections. Why then is it off limits to push Israel for the same. This double standard is why Israel and its supporters (mainly the US) are detested by the world. Although Israel had hidden it for years and still won't admit it, the whole world knows they have Necular weapons. It's a Double Standard that is not respected by the rest of the world.

Of course the corrupted and biased UN would want to investigate Israel's nuclear capability-so it could condemn it and begin the process of dismantling it. Israel has rebuffed Hamas, Hezbollah, and other insignificant "terrorist" forces that lack the military sophistication or the armament to pose a serious threat. However, if some of the major forces were ever to strike Israel---they KNOW they would suffer substantial losses. ALLOW INSPECTION OF THESE SITES? SHOW THE ENEMY WHERE THE WEAPONS ARE LOCATED AND HOW MANY WEAPONS ARE AVAILABLE! THAT'S CRAZY! Why not just provide all of Israel's enemies with absolute control of their most powerful weaponry, their defense plans, their offensive strategies--- NO OTHER GOVERNMENT WOULD TOLERATE THIS--Why Should Israel? See! how much US (my country) and other western nations are biased towards israel, now they will talk about Iran on 01 Oct. 09 to discuss their peaceful and power generation nuclear issues. So, let me get this straight- Iran, who IS a signatory to the IAEA (as well as the USA) is being hounded by you because of some unproven allegations of a weapons program. When YOU are called to account for YOUR weapons program, you flatly deny cooperation? Why does my country bend over backwards for yours? Another UN resolution to add to the tens that Israel will ignore...apparently the only country allowed to stockpile nucluer weapons in the middle east is the only one ever likely to use them and with the most amount of blood on its hands.

Israel should surrender it's right to receive foreign aid per the Symington Amendment until it signs the NPT and allows inspections of its nuclear facility's.

Almost all of Israels power stations are run, using coal, imported mainly from Colombia. Soooo, if Israel was that nuclear orientated, why not build on the knowledge as shown by the rest of Europe. Most of Swiss energy is nuclear, so is France,UK etc. Welcome to Dimona, one of the oldest nuclear facilities still operating, also one of the smallest in the world. Surely, the UN "Body" cannot expect to find hundreds of nuclear tipped ICBM·s in some basement in Dimona. One may even guess that Israel will not allow a bunch of goofy fiddlers traipsing around the research facilities which more than likely have more to do with medicine and other complex and unannounced research into nano / biotechnology.
