Two Palestinian children said killed by IDF tank fire in Gaza

Palestinians reported on Friday morning that two children, aged 8 and 10, were killed by a tank shell fired at their house in the Al-Qarara area, east of the Khan Yunis refugee camp in the Gaza Strip.
The Israel Defense Forces said it had not operated in the Khan Yunis refugee camp area at the time. It said the children were killed when explosive devices planted in the area by Palestinian militants went off.
Later on Friday, IDF troops unearthed a large explosive device planted near the security fence of the southern Gaza settlement of Netzer Hazani. The device was detonated and the incident ended with no casualties.

The two soldiers were evacuated to Soroka Medical Center in Be'er Sheva.
Three Palestinians killed on ThursdayThree Palestinians were killed on Thursday by IDF gunfire in the central Gaza Strip. Palestinian sources told Israel Radio that the men sustained a direct hit from a tank in the Bureij refugee camp.
The IDF reported that soldiers opened fire on four Palestinians carrying an explosive device.
In another incident, an anti-tank missile was fired at an IDF outpost in the central Gaza Strip. No casualties or damages were reported.
Also on Thursday, two mortar shells landed in a Gaza settlement, not causing any casualties or damage.
