Tel Aviv scouts, 15, accuse facilitators of group rape
Movement has launched investigation after asking complainants not to involve police.
Police have been investigating allegations of rape at a Scout Movement chapter in Tel Aviv, Army Radio reported on Tuesday.
15-year-old members claim they were raped and molested by older facilitators during a weekend course in a camp in the north of Israel.
The course was cut short immediately after the movement's board of directors had been informed of the complaints. In a bid to contain the potential repercussions, they launched an internal investigation and asked the complainants to refrain from involving the police, which they later admitted was a mistake.
"We're meticulously and comprehensively looking into the allegations in order to establish their authenticity and severity. We will draw the appropriate conclusions and react accordingly," the movement said.
