Teenage motorist dies while fleeing police
18-year-old, who was driving without license, ran red lights with police in pursuit.
A teenage motorist without a drivers license was killed late Wednesday night while fleeing from police in Jaffa.
The Police called out to the man, an 18-year-old resident of Rishon Letzion, to stop after he ran a red light in Bat Yam.
The man ignored the police and continued speeding and running red lights while they chased after him. He was found lying on Jerusalem Street in Jaffa a few minutes later, where he was confirmed dead by Magen David Adom medical personnel.
The police believe that the man lost control of his vehicle, causing him to mount a curb and hit a tree, which killed him instantly.
