Since Israel began Operation Cast Lead on December 27, the Dutch Jewish community has recorded six violent incidents against Jewish institutions and buildings.

Unknown assailants Thursday fired two gunshots at a mental health clinic run by the Amsterdam Jewish community, in what some Dutch Jews are describing as the worst anti-Semitic attack in the Netherlands since Israel invaded Gaza in December.

Staff from the Sinai Jewish center in Amstelveen near the Dutch capital found two bullet holes in a window.

A previous attack targeted the liberal synagogue in Haaksbergen, where assailants threw stones at the windows.

Another incident was an attempted arson against a Jewish institution in Arnhem, followed by the throwing of a Molotov cocktail at an Amsterdam Jewish-owned building. Aother Jewish-owned building was pelted with stones in Oss.
