Southerners seek solace from rockets in sport
Otherwise-quiet streets are populated by amateur athletes who simply refuse to quit.
It's early in the morning in Tel Aviv, and the routine in "the bubble" still wins out. Yarkon Park is crammed full as usual with hundreds of athletes who woke up early enough to go cycling, rowing or running before heading to work. The faces look familiar and the looks are focused. It seems nothing can disturb the cosmic serenity of the park.
