Soccer / Serie A / AC Milan still dithering; Juventus beats Roma
Juventus mangaed to score four goals past Roma in an impressive 4-1 victory.
AC Milan drew 1-1 at Parma on Saturday, failing to turn around a stuttering start to the Serie A season, while titleholders Juventus beat Roma 4-1.
The Rossoneri advanced to seven points from six games, with a record marred by three defeats and a 7-6 goal difference. Their new forward Bojan Krkic missed narrowly as he fired the only telling shot in the first half at a rainy Ennio Tardini stadium.
After the break the Devils produced a brisk phase and took the lead with a goal by Stephan El Shaarawy, only to be stunned five minutes later by a Daniele Galloppa free kick.
El Shaarawy burst on the left flank and on 50 minutes flicked past Antonio Mirante to notch his fourth goal in the last three league games.
A serious threat from Parma came five minutes later as Massimo Gobbi tried to pounce on a cross deflected by Christian Abbiati, who was beaten on 66 minutes when Galloppa's drive went through the wall to find the net by the near post.
In later action Saturday, Juventus mangaed to score four goals past Roma in an impressive 4-1 victory, and moved ahead of joint leaders Napoli, who are on 13 points as they play at in-form newcomers Sampdoria on Sunday.
