Hapoel Tel Aviv inflicted a fourth defeat of the season on crisis club Maccabi Haifa at the Bloomfield Stadium Monday night, recording a 3-0 win that lifts the Reds into third place in the Premier League. Haifa, meanwhile, dropped down to third-last place in the standings, with just one win in its seven games to date.

Despite controlling the game for much of the first half, Haifa conceded the opening goal in the 35th minute, when Hapoel launched a lightning counterattack that ended with Tal Ben Haim dummying defender Dekel Keinan and slotting the ball past Amir Edri for the simplest of goals.
