At world alpine championship, the hills are alive with Israeli skiers

1) please do not use the name JC Killy as you surely are not him. I happen to know the man himself and can assure you he does not read the Haaretz! ;-) 2) I now live in Israel but competed over 10 years on the World Cup (Skiing) and competed for Israel the last 3 years of my carrier. 3) to answer you ridiculous question: yes these skiers do their army unlike most soccer players who do not even get close! I personally managed to join the army in a fighting unit (Egoz) and some even reach the Alpinistim... in any case, Skiing is a wonderful sport and it is good for Israel to have representatives even if there will most likely never be world champions. Pierre de Coubertin always said the most important is to compete and thus be represented: Israel is on the world Ski map and that is good! Curious to know if you even were in the army?!...

way before you were born. Perhaps you served in Egoz, but the question is not about your army service, but about these young Israelis whom I doubt will serve in Egoz. The excuse will be that it will interfere with their 'professional' future. I hope they are prepared to 'share the burden' equally.
