What do you think about Gilad Shalit's release?
The deal to free Shalit after five years in captivity is for some Israelis a time for rejoicing, while for others a painful reminder of the terrorist attacks that killed their loved ones.
After more than five years in captivity, Israel Defense Forces soldier Gilad Shalit returnrf home to his family on Tuesday.
The celebration that accompanies Shalit's release is for many clouded by the heavy price of freeing 1,027 Palestinian prisoners, most with Israeli blood on their hands.
Shalit's 1,940 days of captivity have been punctuated by tireless efforts by his family, friends and supporters to secure his release. Their efforts have touched the hearts of Israelis and won international attention. But the deal for his release has been met by opposition from the families of terror victims who reject the idea of setting free the terrorists who killed their loved ones and who they warn may strike again.
What do you think about Gilad Shalit's release? Do you think the deal is fair?
