Seven injured, two seriously, in road accidents throughout Israel

Seven injured in road accidents friday, including a 72-year-old woman seriously wounded in Ashkelon, sustaining head wounds.

At least seven people were injured Friday in car accidents throughout Israel. Two hit-and-run accidents left a 72-year-old woman seriously wounded in Ashkelon, sustaining head wounds when a car hit her as she was crossing at a pedestrian walkway. In addition a 6-year-old boy was moderately injured in Bnei Brak.

Police placed road blocks in search of the suspected drivers involved in the accident.

A chain accident near Netanya involved three vehicles and left a 30-year-old woman seriously injured and four more passengers moderately injured. Magen David Adom paramedics transferred them to the nearby hospitals.

Three people were killed Thursday in car accidents throughout Israel. Amongst the victims was a 45-year-old truck driver who drove into a chemical factory in the southern town of Kiryat Gat, a 20-year-old man who was involved in an accident near the settlement Ofra and an 85-year-old man who died after sustaining injuries in an accident on Wednesday.
