Report: Assassins of Hamas official used Irish passports

Mahmoud al-Mabhouh, who reportedly worked to smuggle arms to Gaza, was found dead in a Dubai hotel.

By Avi Issacharoff Tags: Hamas Israel news

The assassins of senior Hamas official Mahmoud al-Mabhouh, who was found dead January 20 in Dubai, traveled to the Gulf country using Irish passports, according to a report in the Irish Herald.

Up to seven people were said to have been involved in Mabhouh's killing, four of whom used Irish passports to enter Dubai and who later fled to a "European country" after the killing, police sources in Dubai told the newspaper.

The report also quotes an Irish Foreign Ministry spokesperson, who said they are trying to determine the veracity of the report.

Earlier this week, a preliminary investigation conducted by Hamas suggested that the assassination was likely carried out by agents of an Arab government, and not by Israel's Mossad spy agency.

When Mabhouh, a senior Hamas official reportedly behind the smuggling of Iranian arms to Gaza, was found dead in his hotel room on January 20, the organization was quick to point the finger at Israeli intelligence, vowing revenge attacks.

Dubai police on Thursday said an arrest warrant could be issued for Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu if Israel is found to have been involved in the killing.

However, both Hamas and Dubai police have said that Mabhouh had enemies across the Middle East, any of whom may have had a motive for his murder.

A Hamas source told Haaretz on Monday that Mabhouh was wanted by authorities in both Jordan and Egypt, where he previously spent a year in prison.

Jabbar, let's try to look at this differently. King Hussein of Jordan once said in despair that he had a nightmare that the world did not want peace in the Middle East. Might his bad dream have been true? Could it be they are afraid of the brains, money, raw materials, potential workforce and technical knowhow present here? Forget the West. To become a free nation you have to elect decent leaders. Nasser may have given Egypt some pride but did he create a prosperous and productive nation? This may be difficult to hear, but look at all the Arab leaders, then look into your heart and then say to yourself who of them is making the citizens of their countries prosperous and productive. There are a few but most cannot. Why should you have to make yourselves suffer while waiting for someone to lead you into another war? Join forces with us peacefully and let us make the Middle East the paradise that all those in the West are so afraid of.

Jabbar, please stop deluding yourself into believing that wild speculation and jumping to conclusions can be a satisfactory substitute for clear-headed, self-disciplined analysis. Saying "it must be Mossad" is not evidence. Until the Arabs learn how to separate their emotions from their reasoning they will remain a pathetic little people, living off their oil (while it lasts), and they will continue to point impotently at every body else as the cause of their woes - instead of looking in the mirror and looking the truth square in the face.

What is this "Arab cause" exactly? "Waiting for the day Arabs will be a free nation...". Free from your bloody dictators and medieval kings. Hope it will come soon and you will be able to joing the civilized world. But it is up to you. You must change your ways too. You must stop killing each other (like you do in Somalia, Iraq, Lebanon, Sudan, etc.) and, worse, you must stop killing your own daughters and sisters for "honour". As for the death of the arab terrorist: It was probably an inside job. You are always killing each other. Anyway, don't feel sad for him, for he must be in paradise now, f...... his 72 virgins (wich, after the first intercouse, will cease being virgins - and then what?)

Quote "Or am I dreaming ?" According to Debka , Lybia head (the amir al mu'aminin of the Africa nations)is offering his diplomatic skills to calm down tensions between Egypt-Qatar-Syria . So no one would steal from him the show to be the only one to shout ,this coming Arab League meeting during March . Another reason would be that when jihadists committ crime against moslems, Then for the interests of Jihad , the Sharia Law Jurisprudence rules that is ok for moslems to blow off steam against Jihadists , is recommended to downplay the crime and fix up matters , compensations in money or camels could be considered ... But the Sharia Law make sure for the interests of Jihad that all moslems blame the crime on the 'infidels' and threaten , with customary int'l Sharia Law such as issuing a warrant of arrest , those who don't believe in the rasul Mohamed . It works to inflate the Jihad ranks, it works for medias scoops to feed hatred and to assert dhimmitude .

It would seem Dubai knows at least some of who did it. If they know what passports were used, they have the pictures of the individuals on file. Add those pictures and then compare them against some databases with facial recognition software and a start is made. Forged passports indicate a nation-state's resources.

No one yet knows who did this, yet your immediate reaction is to blame Mosad? How very arabic of you.As for free arab nations, your leaders already have freedom, you unfortunately do not, so take it up with them and stop whining against the only Democratic state in the sand pit of the Middle East: Israel. As for your hero Nasser, surely he was the man who led Egypt, Jordan and Syria into a 6 day war with Israel in 1967, with troop contributions from Iraq, Saudi Arabia, Sudan, Tunisia, Morocco and Algeria, which of course they lost, but you revere him? Come now, even Salahuddin couldn't pull you out of the political nightmare of the arab mentality as you continue to dwell firmly in the 7th century. Time to stop with this nonsense and start to earn a living like the rest of us.
