President Katzav's brother accused of sexual harassment
Lior Katzav accused by foreign worker of grabbing her against her will two years ago will staying at a hotel where she was employed.
By The Associated PressThe brother of President Moshe Katzav, who faces charges of rape and other sexual offenses, has been accused of sexual misconduct himself.
Lior Katzav, who has been his brother's most vocal defender, insisted Monday that he was innocent of any wrongdoing, and called the allegations part of a web of lies about his family. He refused to divulge further details about the accusations against him.
The complainant, a foreign worker who was arrested three weeks ago at a roadside inn where she was working illegally, filed a complaint during her arrest stating that Katzav touched her against her will while he was a guest at the establishment two years ago.
The woman underwent a polygraph test, which indicated her version of events was 100 percent true, the official said, adding that police planned to soon question Lior Katzav for a first time.
The official spoke on condition of anonymity because the investigation is at a preliminary stage.
Lior Katzav called the allegations "another fantastic story that is pure nonsense and wickedness ... This story, too, will also prove to be a fabricated tale that has nothing to do with the truth."
Without elaborating, he said it was sad that everyone who is detained by police for violating the law chooses to extricate himself by disseminating baseless stories and slander against the Katzav family.
Police spokesman Micky Rosenfeld said he could not confirm or deny a complaint against Lior Katsav.

Oh dear talk about traile trash it seems the Katsav family and their so called morals just keeps sinking lower and lower.
Assumed guilty before trial, have to prove innocence. Of course, the Royals are a perfect example of family life. Charles bumming around openly with his present wife while he was still married to Princes Di. Queen had household staff hopping in and out of her bed. Princess Margaret and Peter Townsend. Brits should be the last one to cast aspersions or stones. Royals are well noted for their foibles and escapades, a long established and perfected tradition. Meanwhile your police live in deadly fear of your next British born Muslim attack.
There is a wonderful saying in Arabic: "Caleb sheh sheh". It literally means "a shiek's dog is a shiek" and perhaps fits this occasion. I don't think that the president's brother is genetically predisposed towards sexual harassment, but rather that he may feel entitled to behave as he wishes, being close to such a powerful man. Abuse is common enough among many who are so connected. "Protectsia", a venerable Israeli institute, derives from this. The Liked central committee members' behavior is another example. There are many others and they are not limited to Israel, nor is it a new phenomenon. It is only lately that it is being more publicized. We can thank an increasingly vigilant press for that.
maybe its genetic
I'm beginning to understand where certain historic figures got their saintity status from. ;-)
Nowadays, you hear no significant news coming from israel except rapes. It is the same situation like Paistan, from where you hear no other news emerging, other than terrorism.
A polygraph test has no legal weight; has no probative value, and should not be cited. Citing it is prejudicial to the accused and Haaretz should be ashamed of itself for quoting this.
don't they understand it when women say NO?
What's the big surprise?....it's in the genes.
"The brother of President Moshe Katzav, who faces charges of rape and other sexual offenses, has been accused of sexual misconduct himself." Perhaps their father was Yosel the Yenser.
when is Katzav going to be prosecuted ?
