Police arrest West Bank man suspected in T.A. beating death
Police suspect murder victim Koby Adhana had been involved in a brawl in downtown Tel Aviv.
The Border Police arrested Saturday night a 27-year-old resident of the West Bank village of Kabilia suspected of involvement in the Friday murder of Koby Adhano in Tel Aviv.
The man was arrested at his house after Border Police received his details from police detectives. The man was taken in for questioning at Yiftach District police headquarters and will face court in Tel Aviv on Sunday to have his remand extended.
Yavneh resident Adhano, 31, was found dead on Friday night on Erlinger Street in downtown Tel Aviv, near the old central bus station, after suffering heavy blows to the upper part of his body. Magen David Adom paramedics who arrived at the scene tried unsuccessfully to revive Adhano, who was suffering from head wounds, but pronounced him dead shortly after.
Initial police inquiries led them to believe that Adhano had been involved in a brawl during which he was beaten to death.
On Saturday the remand was extended of two security guards from nearby brothels who are suspected of obstructing the course of justice, as police said their testimonies contradicted the forensic evidence at the scene.
