Arrest a religious nut-case with no possible means of implementing the stated mission make a headline grabbing article of it and I could be reading the Washington Post or NYT. Tripe reporting only good for fiction and increasing Terrorist recruitment.
THE SATAN BASTARDS THE PEOPLE OF ISHMAEL WILL DESTROY THE WORLD.KILL THEM BEFORE THEY KILL EVERY LAST ONE OF US.JUST LOOK AT IRAN.WAIT AND WE ARE DEAD.
Adel, doesn't your name mean "rigteous"? Perhaps you should start calling yourself "self-righteous"? When you Muslims stop killing each other - as you have throughout your history, and as the Shiis and Sunnis are doing today in Iraq and Pakistan - and unite to form one single form of Islam, then maybe you'll be able to tell us which "God" it was that changed the Temple Mount into the Aqsa. No offence, but the Aqsa Mosque is one of the kitchest buildings I've ever seen.
The pity is that later you go back to your old ways @ #15 WHY? We have to work towards a peaceful but acceptable solution to ALL our problems Unfortunately you probably will never see this comment as Ha'Aretz once again in their wisdom have chosen to hide this topic away. Surprising really as this topic was likely to bring ALL their Anti Semitic & Anti Zionist pets out of their slime pits.
it's really funny
Please be fair when it comes to this conflict.
Hashavti sh'at falistinait
Bayt al-Makdis or Beyt ha-Mikdash - it is exactly the same name in Jewish and Muslim tradition. It is called the "holy house", which is the same as temple. The Muslim name for Jerusalem Al-Quds derives from that name, while it's secular name in Arabic is Ilia from the Roman Aelia. Whatever people disagree about on this subject is only about politics or ideology.
As part of his conquests Caliph Omar (AS) invaded Jerusalem in 638, taking it away from the Byzantines. To see the remains of Byzantine homes from that period, you can visit today the archeological excavations below the southern end of the Temple Mount in the Old City of Jerusalem. It was this area, in particular, that Omar turned over to 70 Jewish families following his conquest. (Until then the Byzantines had forbidden the Jews from living in Jerusalem at all.) He found the Temple Mount site covered with garbage as the Byzantines had deliberately decreed that garbage should be dumped there to humiliate the Jews. Omar had the site cleared and may have prayed at the southern end (toward Mecca) which could well be the first time that a small mosque was erected there, though historians are not certain. http://www.aish.com/literacy/jewishhistory/Crash_Course_in_Jewish_History_Part_43_-_The_Jews_of_Babylon.asp Just remember that the west will never allow us (Muslims and Jews) to unit and have peace
the country where the temple mount is israel for all of those who don't know yet. israel is a jewish country and it is not up for grabs or for compensation to replace our history. if you dont like living in a jewish country you have 22 other muslim countries surrounding the area go there. jordan is palestine israel is not
I've got a long wait coming.
Police state goes crazy as Jews demand their basic right to stop desecration of their Holiest Shrine. Most true Christians agree. Arabs have Mecca. Let them pray there. Arabs - out of Har HaBait & out of Israel. Police state leaders to be sent to psychiatric asylumn & given electric shocks across the ears!
The difference is that the Rabbi was arrested, whereas in Palestine, if a terrorist threatened to carry out a terrorist act he would be aided to carry out the act and he would be celebrated as a hero and ...as a martyr, after the IDF send him off to paradise.
Why not in Jerusalem? the Jews have just as much if not more claim to the land than the Muslims. The Jews should be able to build in Jerusalem if they want to, just like the Muslims can build yet another mosque in Jerusalem if they feel they want that!
The Islamic countries will be happy to compensate the Jews to build temple mount in any location they choose which is safe and accessable but not in Jerusalem .
After all , after Yom Kippor one can;t help but think that this Mosque the site of the holie of holies has been used as a ridiculous point by Muslims that the site is where 'you know who" ascended to heaven but we all know he was someplace else at the time.....I don;t beleive in violence just the resurrection of "The Temple"...The rabbi is wrong for threatening!!!!
Israel's birth was washed in the blood of terrorist violence. Jews and Arabs both have been responsible for many terrorist operations. Even Menachem Begin, an Israeli PM, was a leader of the terrorist group, the Irgun. With all this recent history of terror, it is not surprising to see a rabbi planning a terror attack. After all, most Israelis only have a problem with Arab terrorists, not Jewish terrorists. Read the history books in Israels schools. See what it says about the Irgun.
I will visit the holy lands and bring my family with me gladly when you clear the miss with your Neighbors. I dont know how long that will be. Because only then will we "GCC" be able to visit Israel.
I agree with you, we can solve our problems by our self?s, Jews, Muslims and Christians can live in peace; the problem is not religion it is politics. Yesterday our foreign minister was in your country and was discussing ways to move the peace process forward. If we do have peace full peace in the Middle East with all the Arab/ Islamic countries. I believe the future will be ours, we could even become an economical superpower in the region.
"It is declared mosque by God " Where? If you are referring to Muhammad's "Night Journey", he mentions the "furthest mosque", without one word about Jerusalem. Modern scholars interpret this to mean a mosque in N. Arabia.
Orcle u know there is not such moral ground. They have killed any arab if they had even doubt like this.
why didn't they do anything about them then ???
Quote " How can we have peace when you still say temple mount ? It is declared mosque by God and it is the place where the Maysa will make his speech to the world " Back off , It's Israel renaissance big time . and you still can visit the temple mount. for your peace you can even bend and pray if you wish , no one will say nothing . Just make sure you keep out your snickers. and bring your digital handy camera . go ahead , book your flight and enjoy your trip to the holly land.. Although , not everybody is holly , but civilized.
In the Land of Israel and everywhere else. Seems they had an inferiority complex.
It just so happens that just as Quisling Rice is in the region, this Rabbi gets "caught" attempting to carry out a terror attack on the Aqsa Mosque. A little shot in the arm for Israel's security services. A fine engineering job of media manipulation by Israel.
Here again we have a situation where Israel applies the same pressure to Jews as she does toward non-Jews who wish to engage in terrorism. I wonder what kind of excuses will be offered up by the appologists of Islamic-terror will say? They will either completeley ignore this fact, or they will distort it by saying it is an isolated incident, not comparable to security procedures carried out against "innocent Arab activists" and so forth. Let us watch and see. I wonder how long before someone on this discussion board mentions the uprooted olive trees and 40 years of occupation and the indiscriminate killings of Palestinians? Will people still remember this act of blind justice as dictated by the universal moral standards that apply to all Israelis?
Since the begining until the end of time!!!!! To be even more exact..Temple Mount is the whole area when the mosque is just a small area within the whole temple mount.
Adel, I assume the Maysa you refer to is the Messiah/Mashiach & that when you state G-D declared it a Mosque you were referring to Allah. If so we ALL believe the same thing. We merely utilise different names & Titles. So what difference does it make if we call it the Temple Mount, Al Aksa, or the Dome of the Rock. Surely it is far more important for us, by that I mean Jews & Muslims, having agreed that we believe in the same things, merely have different names for them, to sit down together, & TALK TO EACH OTHER. We can I believe sort out OUR problems & live in peace in this beautiful land. But it is only us, I repeat, Jews & Muslims united, who can pull this off. These haters who visit this site every day to spew their venom are only here to stir trouble. They are of no use & contribute absolutely NOTHING to bring about a peaceful solution to OUR problem. For it is OUR problem, not theirs. We HAVE to do it. For the sake of our children & grandchildren. Please G-D......Inshallah
The Temple Mount was there way before any Mosque was built on its ruins. Peace is not just a word, it is acceptance of our historical and personal falures and the process of healing together. We need to acknowledge our faults to each other and this is the only way to seek peace.
How can we have peace when you still say temple mount ? It is declared mosque by God and it is the place where the Maysa will make his speech to the world.
