Police arrest Haredi man suspected of trying to stab Arab cab driver

J'lem Police say suspect and driver began arguing in taxi and the suspect pulled a knife and tried to stab the driver; Border Police subdue and arrest suspect.

By Jonathan Lis

Jerusalem Police on Sunday arrested a 30-year-old ultra-Orthodox man after he allegedly attempted to stab a Palestinian taxi driver at the Mount of Olives.

Police stated that the suspect hailed the cab Sunday night and asked the driver to take him to the Neve Samuel neighborhood for prayers. Shortly thereafter, the two got into an argument and the driver offered to take the suspect to the Mount of Olives. The suspect agreed, and when the two arrived at the Mount, he allegedly drew a knife and attempted to stab the driver.

The driver was not harmed and was able to call for help.

A Border Police patrol operating in the area came to the driver's aid and subdued and arrested the suspect.

Are found insane; therefore are not liable. The so called Israel court System by issuing this kind of excuses to let these Israeli terrorists free is encouraging more Israelis to join the terror camp against innocents Palestinians. This is called predigest, inhuman, and war crimes against humanity. Israel lost the world confidence and respect and still counting

If the report is true, past experience would enable a reasonable prediction that the Jewish attacker is insane and, therefore, not criminally liable

I don't know about the idea if an Arab did it, he would be called a terrorist. But, I do know this, if the roles were entirely reversed, the PA would not arrest an Arab for attempting to kill or for killing a Jew. They would name a street, a little league team, and make a playing card commemorating him.

If an Arab did this , he will be referred to as a terrorist , end of story . Neve Samuel is way on the northwest side of Jerusalem. Mt of Olives , is directly east of the Old City . The story and the locations do not jive. There has to be more to this story than meets the eye. ( criminal , drugs or sexual issues and certainly not prayer)....
