As I understand it, the Jews bought the properties and they had been illegally occupied by Arab squatters. That is what the courts ruled and courts in Israel tend to ignore the rights of its Jewish citizens. Of course, the situation in Israel is not as bad as in Jordan where it is not just illegal to sell land to Jews; such a sale merits the death penalty.

Realist you say these homes belong to Jews and they are reclaiming them lawfully? That argument would hold if the same applied to the thousands of dispossessed arabs whose homes in Israel are occupied illegally by Jews. You can't have it both ways otherwise the world sees Israel for the apartheid state it has become.

This article fails to mention the key background fact that the homes in question belong legally to the Jewish families who live there. These illegal "protests" against the court's decision to return the properties to their original owners are deliberately designed to incite violent racist riots against Jewish people in the very capital of Israel. Many of the "protestors" are foreign activists who support the terrorist war against the state. Others are racist Arab politicians who have already caused widespread violent rioting in parts of Jerusalem, for example during the Succot holiday last October. It is time to enforce the law by preventively deporting the foreign criminals and prosecuting the local ones. No other country would tolerate such an epidemic of organized criminality.

What more is there to say?

When I read in the talkbacks, comments from Americans & Australians about how Israeli's aka Jews are stealing land, even thought its their own land that is being recovered, originaly stolen by Islamic imperialistic forces. What is laughable is how these Americans & Australians, stole the very land they live in, from the original natives, and to prevent any land claims, simply mass murdered the Red Indians and Aboriginies. Israel is now trying to suppress non-violent forms of resistance like demonstrations in Sheikh Jarrah and Bil'in. It is no coincidence that the police and army are now arresting the leadership of the non-violent resistance and civil disobedience movement. It is expelling people like Jared Malsin, the Jewish-American editor of the English desk at Ma'an News Agency in Bethlehem and arresting human rights activists, who return from speaking tours abroad. The oppression of non-violent resistance is a mark of how far Israel, 'the only democracy in the Middle East', has sunk.
