Peres wishes Clinton speedy recovery after heart surgery
Former U.S. president leaves hospital following operation on Sunday morning.
President Shimon Peres on Friday wrote to former United States President Bill Clinton to wish him speedy recovery from a heart operation.
Clinton, 63, is recovering after leaving a New York hospital following surgery earlier on Sunday.
"Your well-being is precious to all of us and may you be back to your regular intensive activities in no time," Peres wrote.
Peres continued: "Jerusalem is a good place to pray. We shall pray for a man that all of us need and admire."
Clinton underwent surgery to put two stents in his coronary arteries - a procedure that allows the blood to flow more freely.
