The Palestinian Authority cabinet is to resign next week, and senior Fatah officials will then choose a successor to PA Prime Minister Ahmed Qureia, Israel Radio reported Wednesday, quoting the official Palestinian newspaper Al Hayam.
It said that when Qureia returns next week from medical treatments abroad, the Fatah Central Committee and PA Chairman Mahmoud Abbas will designate a successor to Qureia, who is expected to step down in order to run for the Palestinian Legislative Council.
