Ousted Honduran leader: Israeli mercenaries are trying to kill me

President Manuel Zelaya was ousted from office in an opposition coup three months ago.

Eighty nine days after being ousted from office in an opposition coup, ex-Honduran president Manuel Zelaya has claimed in an interview with an American newspaper that Israeli mercenaries are trying to kill him.

"We are being threatened with death" Zelaya told the Miami Herald, adding that "Israeli mercenaries" are torturing him with high-frequency radiation at his refuge at the Brazilian embassy, where he has been since returning to the Central American country on Monday.

"I prefer to march on my feet than to live on my knees before a military dictatorship," Zelaya said, after telling the newspaper that the mercenaries were likely to storm the embassy and assassinate him.

The report also quoted a Honduran police spokesman as saying he knew nothing of any radiation devices being used against the former president.

"He says there are mercenaries against him? Using some kind of apparatus?" the spokesman was quoted as saying. "No, no, no, no, sincerely no. The only elements surrounding that embassy are police and military, and they have no such apparatus."

Zelaya was ousted at gunpoint on June 28 and returned to the country on Monday, two days before he was scheduled to speak before the United Nations General Assembly.

Honestly, sounds a bit more like fact based reality to me.... .... Israel has a rather troubling history of supporting some of the worst military dictatorships in Latin America and elsewhere in this world. ..... It is also a documented fact taht the Mossad assassinated JFK and had a hand in the murder of Martin Luther King.Mehmet Ali Aga was on the Mossad payroll when he shot the Pope. So .... is it fact or paranoia? History speaks for itself.

For eight years we had to stomach the continuous hysterical chatter from the Left, calling George W. a "cowboy". This was never meant as a term of endearment, and was one of their reasons for disliking the man. He, as a cowboy, was dumb, and terribly provincial. Now we's gots a real "cowboy", a big ten gallon white cowboy hat, and a provincial coffee plantation owner black "snidely whiplash" moustache. But he is a leftie, one of the "I wanna be your leader forever" crowd. But the Left is quiet, like mice caught on a glue plate, hoping that nobody notices them and their dilema. Seems that all comes down to fashion, and in this case, this "cowboy" is now cosmopolitan and cool. Teacher/Instructor, my New Year's wishes to you and yours have been censored. Why "Happy New Year" should be viewed as dangerous, well...gotta ask Gidon Levy about that. Hag Sameach and Peace achi!

Is it some sort of microwave device, so little that nobody sees it, yet so powerful that it penetrates the walls and tortures him (and only him) inside the embassy? WOW!

Just to please his other half (Ahmadinejad) on the other side of this planet . But of Zelaya ? Why would Israel waste it's time on this worn-out Honduran ex-president ? Where's the logic ?

This guy sis an idiot. Thinks he can change the constitution and get away with it like his closest dictator Allies in the South America, Oil tycoon and biggest thief Chavez, terrorist helping Correa and the other drug addict shortie Morales. Zeleya had that coming and he saw it coming a mile away. Honduras is off limits to all the Bavarian revolution bullshit. and Yes, most of the Arabs and Jewish business families are with the new democratic government. I have seen both communities in action there and they live in harmony and peace. They Coexist and get along. Hope this will be the future of the future Israeli state along side of it the Palestinian democratic state.

It is interesting that the CIA, of the Arch-evil USA Imperialists, does not get enough respect for a conspiracy theory here. Can it be that Israel has become Latin leftists' new Bogeyman? Or is it that the CIA is seen as no longer competent to undertake covert operations?
