One person was killed and three others were injured in two separate incidents involving explosions of military ammunition in training zones over the weekend.

On Saturday, two Bedouins were injured, one lightly and another moderatly, when a dud tank shell exploded near them in a military training zone near Kibbutz Revivim, in the south.

The two were rushed to the Soroka Medical Center in Be'er Sheva.

In the past, Bedouins in the Negev have entered military training zones to collect metal scraps, sometimes resulting in injuries from exploding ordnance. Approximately three months ago, a father and son were killed when an artillery shell exploded under their vehicle.

On Friday a 19-year-old Israeli was killed by exploding ordnance while hiking through an Israel Defense Forces training area in the Golan Heights.

Another youth was seriously injured and was evacuated to Rambam Medical Center in Haifa.

The two teens, residents of the Golan Heights, went for a hike with two other friends and passed through the IDF training zone.

Police said the training zone, located on the central Golan near Kibbutz Yonatan, was designated and marked.

Police are investigating the circumstances of the incident.
