News / Bush arrives in Israel on his first presidential visit

U.S. President George W. Bush arrived in Israel on Wednesday for a three-day visit that kicks of a weeklong tour of the Middle East.

He was greeted at the airport with an official ceremony attended by Prime Minister Ehud Olmert, President Shimon Peres and a host of Israeli officials.

During his visit, Bush was to meet with Olmert and Peres and other Israeli officials as well as Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas.
