Woman found dead in Jerusalem apartment
A woman's body was found in her home in the Jerusalem neighborhood of Gilo, several days after her murder.
A woman's body with signs of abuse was found Tuesday morning in the Jerusalem neighborhood of Gilo.
Police believe that the 42-year-old woman has been dead for several days and her body was hidden in the balcony of her home on Shlomo Dugga street. During this time her children were in the apartment, unaware that their mother's body was on the balcony.
The body was found Tuesday morning by police forces and taken to the center for forensic medicine in Abu Kabir Institute of Forensic Medicine.
The police have already begun investigations and have arrested a suspect. Police believe that the woman was murdered as a result of an argument between the two. Police have ordered that no further information be disclosed at this time.
This is the second instance this week in which a woman was murdered due to suspected domestic violence. On Sunday morning, 41-year-old Ludmilla Azrov was stabbed to death in what police suspect was a murder-suicide carried out by her ex-husband.
The 44-year-old ex-husband jumped to his death shortly after he stabbed her. An initial probe has revealed that the man served prison time four years ago due to domestic violence charges.
