The Knesset Health Committee will hold a special discussion on Tuesday, June 6, regarding the legality of the process which turns khat leaves into juice. The discussion, which will be lead by MK Taleb El-Sana, was deemed necessary owing to the increasing popularity of khat juice, which has recently been put up for sale at convenience stores and restaurants around Tel Aviv.
