A security guard at the West Bank settlement of Ma'aleh Adumim was lightly injured in a stabbing on Saturday.
The guard was transported to a hospital for medical treatment.
Police said that the suspect spoke Arabic and fled in the direction of a nearby Palestinian town.
Security forces are searching the area for the suspect and have opened an investigation into the incident.
Last month, Jerusalem police arrested a suspect in the stabbing that took place in the Ramot neighborhood in northern Jerusalem on October 22.
In that stabbing, a 17-year-old Israeli was seriously wounded by an Arab resident of Beit Iksa.
