The Palestinians do not have nor have they ever had an airport in the West Bank. Arafat built a showcase airport in the Gaza strip which was mostly used by him ona a personal basis on his many, many trips to0 move money to banks in Europe. This airport was shut down by Israel for security reasons during the second mintifada when thousands of Israeli were being killed and maimed by suicide bombers.
