Two weeks after election, what Israel's 33rd government will look like remains anyone's guess

It will be a disaster not to hear the shift in Israeli public opinions and voters and disregard Bibi's defeat. Bibi got defeated and it is time for Peres to give a chance to somebody else.

What we can say with some certitude is that the new government will be ugly, monstrous and predatorial, as have all the others except, perhaps, Yitzhak Rabin's terms.

as if anything that happens in Israel is important. You are Ants, not Lions.

He will be demanding all the ministries he needs to lay the groundwork for an election victory of his own next time round rather than doing whats good for the country here and now. He will constantly be trying to undermine Bibi and threatening to bring down the government if he doesn't get his own way. If he thinks the time is right he will dream up a justifiable excuse anyway and pull out forcing an election in which he may have a good chance of winning. Lapid has made it very clear already his priority is to be the next PM nothing more so having him in the coalition is bad for the country as a whole because the man with second most seats after Bibi will be putting his ambition above anything else. Bibi should form a coalition with the religious, Bennet, Livni and Mofaz leave Lapid in opposition just making speeches and by the time the next election comes around if Labor ditch Shelly and get their act together they will take alot of his seats and he will discover people don't love him as much as he thought they did and so hopefully if he stays in politics this will bring him back to the realms of reality because right now power has gone to his head.

Which is more than can be said for Bibi, and the candidates for his coalition. If they had brains we might be moving towards peace, and stop alienating the world. In particular are friends (our only friend) the USA.

A positive move towards reconciliation and peace with justice for all is required. However personal ambitions and religious extremity continue to get in the way.

The only solid partners who will always be by his side are the religious groups (mainly the haredim) and Mofaz.
