Two people were wounded Wednesday morning after a gunman opened fire at their vehicle near Netanya.
One of the two men sustained serious wounds and the other was wounded moderately.
The two, Bedouin residing in the southern region of the Negev, do not have prior police records. Police believe that the incident was a result of a criminal dispute and not related to security matters.
According to police, the two left the coastal city of Hedera Wednesday morning and once they passed by Kfar Yona, not far from Netanya, an unidentified gunman opened fire at their car. The two kept on driving east and only stopped the car a few kilometers later, at a gas station, where they asked for help.
Police forces and medical personnel arrived at the scene, after which the two were evacuated to Laniado hospital in Netanya.
