The lifeless body of a 14-year-old youth was found on Friday morning in a schoolyard by the building's caretaker in the West Bank settlement of Alfei Menashe. The circumstances leading to the discovery of the body were unclear at the time of the report and the identity of the 14-year-old has yet to be established.

The boy was from nearby Alfei Menashe, but was not a student at the school. Initial findings indicate that he committed suicide.

Paramedics from Magen David Adom called to the school declared the boy dead at the scene. Signs of bodily trauma found on the corpse suggested that it fell from a great height. A large number of police gathered on Friday around the area where the body was found and an investigation has begun.

In another recent case, two days ago one of the suspects in the murder of Zehava Chekol in the Carmel Hotel in Netanya admitted that he committed the murder. Aritzia Akalsongo reenacted the act in the presence of police investigators. Police have continued to examine whether Akalsongo's friend, an Israeli Premier League soccer player, was involved in the murder.

During the investigation Akalsongo changed his responses to police. He first claimed that he did not commit the murder, later he said that his friend was the person responsible for the young woman's death.

Both of the suspects, who are Congolese nationals, were located at the Carmel Hotel next to where Chekol's body was found last week. The two became suspects in Chekol's murder after an autopsy was conducted on her body. Chekol was a Netanya resident who had been out of contact with her family for a prolonged period of time.
