State drops graft case against ex-PM Sharon’s son due to lack of evidence

The state prosecutor said that while Gilad Sharon’s explanation for the $3 million that was transferred into his bank account was unconvincing, he had to shelve the case for lack of evidence.

State Prosecutor Moshe Lador Wednesday closed the case against Gilad Sharon in the Cyril Kern affair and transferred the material from the investigation – centered on the transfer of $3 million to the former prime minister’s son – to the Israel Tax Authority.
