Everything done in- or for the memory of Yitzhak Rabin is worthwhile. He was a great and admirable man - a soldier for the State he believed in and also a soldier for peace. God bless Israel, a land which I had already the immense pleasure of visiting once, and that you may live in peace. Shalom!

What difference does it make?

Israel will still have a right wing government of some sort after January that will believes it can control the West Bank forever without affording Arabs equal rights and the vote. Over time, U.S. and EU support will diminish, and Israel will end up like South Africa. What then? Ethnic warfare? The right wing has no long term plan except sticking their head in the ground, and the majority of Israelis are perfectly happy to go along with it. The problem of Iran pales in comparison.
