Hey, what the f*** do rock stars know? The less rock stars around the less the ancient idol worshipping slots within us are being forced open and held open.

Amazing that these groups that only care about drugs and sex, now support terrorists. They are really amazing models for terrosism! Maybe when Osama bin Laden is killed thay will have a protset concert in Afghanistan?What a bunch of bleeding heart hypocrites!

Just so you know, the Pixies are considered a seminal rock band, influencing hundreds of amazing bands that you probably have heard of. It's just as well you don't know about them, otherwise you would want them 'anyway.' Try Google.

Do what we want you to do? Forcing condemnation by bullying people and governments won't make their cause more righteous.

The pixies were my favorite band until this morning. I am very disappointed.

boycotts send a message, but they don't really offer that much help and just make people pissed off (especially, considering that most israelis who would go to these concerts anyway probably didn't even vote for likud). how about this for a change? instead of reaping the concert money to line their already very silver lined pockets, the artists donate the money to some coexistence work? there's some joint arab-jewish kindergartens in jerusalem that could use some extra funding, for example. just a thought.

I don't blame them. Just wanted to leave behind all the insanity for an evening with the Pixies and the Editors. Very sad! Israel is the only place in the region with a fan base for alternative music. The Pixies are pure cult in Israel. Tragic. I have no other word to describe how I feel. BTW - cultural boycotts don't work. It just "proves" that the world is anti semtic and everyone is against us. Playing to the hands of rightwingers. We don't deserve Bibi & Lieberman.

We do not really need the Pixies...we really know how to "rock the boat". Iran could use some of the Pixies' rock music to help its people relax and cope with events beyond their control...like the weird form of repression and thought control exercised by their humane, loving, peaceful leaders. I propose that the Pixies undertake a musical tour to entertain the Middle East dictatorships.

Also in the last few days an ATP festival which was to include Spiritualized,Sonic Youth and Nick Cave among others now looks unlikely to happen to due to current events. This fantastic event was just about to be announced. it seems like a total musical boycott is now not to far off unless positive steps are taken soon.

Who are they? We didn't want them anyway.

Are they British or American? Anyway, why don't they boycott their own countries for the killing of one million men, women and children in far away (unlike Gaza to Israel) Afghanistan and Iraq? Hypocrites.

a bunch of musicians who have no true understanding of honesty and facts. they can play before any arab audience and enjoy the arousing applause for their lives. we don't need any more sub-intelligent life forms in Israel. artists of this sort are never and will never be barometers for common sense and right and wrong. with the exception of a small population that wastes its money on this questionable art form, we can only thank them for demonstrating their worthlessness to us.

.....it will be mostly young/left-wing/liberal Israelis, that will pay the price for the foolishness of the average Israeli voter, to stick to right-wing extremism and reject any kind of fair compromise with the Palestinians. The writing was clearly on the wall......
