Pessah Grupper, former agriculture minister and long-serving Knesset member, dies at 89
Grupper served as head of the Atlit Local Council before going on to serve in the Knesset, representing Likud, for 18 years including one year as minister of agriculture in the Shamir government.
Former Knesset member and Agriculture Minister Pessah Grupper died Monday night, at the age of 89. Grupper lived in Atlit, just south of Haifa, where he was head of the local council from 1959-1962 and from 1969-1971. He served in the Knesset continuously from 1974 to 1992.
