The Israel Academy of Sciences and Humanities is one of the country's most male-dominated institutions: Nine newly elected scientists - all male - will join the academy in a festive event on Tuesday, and the academy's president, Prof. Ruth Arnon, admits she is "deeply saddened" that no female scientists were elected this year.

Isn't the author of this article aware that his 'slant' is gender-biased ?!? ~ I didn't realize that a qualification for scientific acumen had a gender presupposition. Or, in laymen's terms, I didn't realize that scientific know-how had to "make nice" and fit neatly into the predetermined template of 'political correctness'. {"To hell with scientific accuracy, we need equal numbers of men and women to make the differential coefficients work !!!"}
thank you
