MKs give commercial TV stations vital lifeline
The legislation was particularly vital for Channel 10, which is mired in debt. Without the bill to reschedule the debt, it could not renew its license, which expires at the end of the month.
The Knesset met Thursday to pass legislation to ease the financial straits of the country's two major commercial television stations, Channel 2 and Channel 10.
