Meretz chair petitions High Court for Lieberman's dismissal

Meretz party chairperson Zahava Gal-On on Friday petitioned the High Court of Justice to order Foreign Minister Avigdor Lieberman to step down, as he is set to be indicted for breach of trust over an incident involving Israel's former ambassador to Belarus, Ze'ev Ben Aryeh.

Liberman has not been convicted of any crime that bars him from standing for the knesset Gal-On is trying her luck to try smear Liberman and the party he belongs and to try make herself look like a hero and champion of democracy. Gal-On is an opportunist and tries to get the courts to help her play dirty. She petitioned the courts to have the very right wing Arutz 7 radio station closed and succeeded after that she petitioned the courts to close down both the Arutz 7 and Jpost websites closed although in this case she lost. She just likes to use the courts to fight her battles against the right wing because she is about as left as they come and to her the fewer media outlets for the right the better and if she can bring down popular right wing politicians then she will also try that. Non of this going to the court has anything to do with morality or law its just about using dirty tricks to damage the right wing.
